Week 4 – Update

Games at Portola and University HS underwent a scheduling change for the remainder of the season – teams in Boys 3rd, Boys 4th and Boys 7th may have had their game times and/or location changed. Please double-check your schedule for the remainder of the season leading up to bracket play.

Overall we saw improvement with following the indoor mask guidelines at most locations and we thank you for that. For those that did not follow the guidelines, we have notified all referees that coaches and parents who refuse to wear a mask will be asked to leave. Our continued conditional gym use permits require that we mandate and follow city guidelines. We appreciate your continued cooperation.

As a reminder to coaches – if you are unable to make any of your games please communicate to your team as soon as possible and help coordinate a replacement.

Double-Headers & Byes this Weekend
B404 – Farazmand | Lerner [Bye]
B405 – Chuang | Yusay [Double-Header]

Week 3 – Update

We are excited to return to league play this weekend!

There are no games at Beckman HS this weekend so please double-check your schedule to verify your game time and location: https://socalelite.org/leagues/winter/youth/schedules/#youth-schedules

Double Headers and Byes
B411 – Lakers has a double-header this weekend
HS901 – Porter | Vo has a bye this weekend

We would also like to reiterate that our mask policy is still in effect. In accordance with the California Department of Public Health’s latest guidance for the use of masks, proper face coverings over mouth AND nose are required when indoors at any of our indoor game locations and must be worn by everyone at all times. The only exception to this rule is players when they are actively participating in game play (players are required to wear masks while on the bench).

These protocols have been communicated to all coaches – who are also required to wear masks properly at all times – and these protocols must be followed to ensure we continue receiving conditional use permits from the Irvine and Tustin Unified School Districts. If anyone does not comply they will be asked to leave the gym.

Please note that if these procedures are not followed correctly we may be forced to cancel or forfeit games accordingly.

Covid-19 Protocols

As an organization, our priority is the health and safety of all our players, coaches, families and staff. Our facility use permits require that we follow local health and safety guidelines.

As a reminder, all coaches and parents need to wear a mask while inside the gym – there are no exceptions. Players do not need a mask while on the court but must be wearing a mask while on the bench. If parents do not have a mask our staff may ask you to wait outside.

During play, if players (while on the bench) and/or coaches are not wearing a mask the referees will issue a warning requiring them to put a mask on. If the issue continues, referees may issue a technical foul.

As a reminder, any players who are not healthy should reach out to their coach and stay home.

We appreciate your understanding and attention to this as we prioritize the safety and health of all of our participants.
