Hello Parents,

As a reminder, there will be NO Summer Drop-In League this Sunday, June 6th. We will be taking this weekend off due to the 4th of July holiday. Our summer season will resume the following Sunday, June 13th for Week 3.

If you were interested in joining us for our summer 4-day volleyball skills camps, it would be great for the coaching staff to see some familiar faces on the court. We have two remaining camps which start next week and mid-August. There are several spots left in the camps so sign up before space runs out!

We were able to secure Northwood High School for the duration of the summer season. Notice that both divisions will be playing at the same location and time but will be separated by court number.

Hello Parents,

Thank you for registering for our 2025 Summer Drop- In League! This Sunday marks the start to the season. Here are some quick updates before our start date:

During Week 1 of play, our coaching staff will be introducing basic fundamentals in passing, setting, hitting, serving, and team systems. This gives our coaches an opportunity to observe each player’s volleyball ability and knowledge going into the summer season. Teams will be formed and shuffled each week by our coaches to provide a competitive and fun experience for all. Each week players will get an opportunity to practice and play scrimmages/games. Practices and games will be run/coached by our volleyball staff.  

Drop-In Clinic/Games: Each week of play, there will be an allocated 30-45mins clinic/practice for each division. After practice has concluded, it is immediately followed by teams playing scrimmages/games. Depending on the division’s volleyball ability, there might be modifications to the games to provide the best experience (serve from anywhere on the court, coach initiated ball, allow a bounce, height of net, more than three contacts, etc.). Records will not be kept. Please expect for practices to be longer at the beginning of the league (weeks 1-2) as we want to make sure players have a greater understanding of how to play the game. As the league progresses, more time will be designated to play. The full duration of Week 5 will be designated to play scrimmages/games. 

Teams: Teams will be formed by our coaching staff to provide the best and competitive experience for all players. Teams can be Co-Ed and formed by dispersing talent as evenly as possible to ensure fairness – they are not limited by the number of boys or girls on each team. We will be following a drop-in format where teams will be reshuffled each week.

Location: We are expecting to be using Beckman High School, University High School and Northwood High School as our sites for the duration of the Summer Drop-In League.

Schedule: Our schedule for the whole season will be sent out later this week. Practice/Game times will be dependent on the number of players in a division and gym availability. It is looking like both divisions will be playing consistently at 12:00PM to 1:30PM each week.

Thank you for registering for our 2025 Summer Skills Volleyball Camp 2! This is a reminder, our camp will be starting next Monday, July 7th.

Date: Monday, July 7th to Thursday, July 10th

Location: New Horizon Community Center Indoor Gym

Time: 8:00AM – 11:00AM (*Early drop off starts at 7:30AM*)

Entrance: Please enter through the side gates closest to the soccer field. The gates will be propped open.

Our dynamic warm-up will start promptly at 8:00AM each day of camp. 

*Each Camper is responsible for bringing the following: Water, Snacks, and Athletic Attire. An allocated 10 min. snack time will be provided during each day of camp so please pack accordingly.

Group numbers will be posted on the gym wall on Monday, Day 1. Please double check your child’s t-shirt size or grade listed with the camp groups and notify us if it needs to be changed.
