Hello Parents,
Thank you for registering for our 2026 Fall Volleyball League! We are a few weekends away from the start of the season. Here are some key updates and details before our official start date.
1. Preseason Skills Clinic & Player Evaluations
We will hold our mandatory Preseason Skills Clinic & Player Evaluations on Saturday, August 29th, https://socalelite.org/volleyball/preseason/.
- What to Expect: Coaching staff will introduce core fundamentals—passing, setting, hitting, serving, and team systems. This allows coaches to observe each player’s volleyball skill level and knowledge before teams are finalized by Week 1.
- Time Slots: Each player will have a designated 2-hour time slot based on grade level and division.
2. League Schedule & Structure
Following evaluations, the league runs for 6 weeks on Saturdays, from September 12th through October 17th.
- Weekly Sessions: Players will participate in 2-hour sessions each week, split between practice/drills and scrimmages/games led by our coaching staff and parent volunteer coaches.
- Scrimmage Modifications: Game rules may be modified (e.g., net height, serve location, coach-initiated balls) depending on division skill level to ensure a fun and competitive experience. Official standings/records will not be kept.
- Practice Progression: Weeks 1–3 will feature longer practice portions to build foundational skills. As the season progresses, more time will be allocated to match play, with Week 6 fully dedicated to scrimmages.
- Rescheduling Policy: In the event of facility or schedule conflicts (e.g., high school/city events, weather), games may be rescheduled for a later date.
3. Team Formation
Teams will be formed by our coaching staff after evaluations to ensure balanced, competitive teams. Teams may be co-ed and will distribute talent evenly. If registration numbers permit, intermediate and beginner brackets will be created within divisions.
4. Locations & Times
We are finalizing gym permits with the City and School District. We anticipate using Irvine High School, with sessions running between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Saturdays.
- Younger divisions (4th–6th grade) will generally play during earlier slots, followed by older divisions (7th–9th grade).
- The complete season schedule will be distributed once teams and gym allocations are finalized.
5. Volunteers
Evaluation Coordinators and Volunteer Coaches will be contacted separately with details on how to assist during the league.

Weekly Volleyball Academy
Hello Parents,
Thank you all for your patience as we kick off the new school year. We are still awaiting approval from the Tustin Unified School District to return to Orchard Hills, and while we hoped to transition back sooner, we are currently waiting on district authorization with no set timeline. I also appreciate your understanding regarding the summer heat and limited air conditioning at the Boys & Girls Club gym.
In the meantime, we have secured approval to use the Solis Park School Gym on Tuesdays! Starting Tuesday, September 1st, our Tuesday Volleyball Academy sessions will temporarily move to Solis Park as we await final approval for Orchard Hills (which we hope to resume by the end of September). We hope Solis Park will provide a much better experience for everyone in the meantime.
